The artwork expresses Vietnamese school girls in Ao dai (traditional dress of Vietnmese woman) on the ancient square in Hanoi! The background is old houses in French-style architecture (built in 18th and 19th century), their characteristic are brown roofs due to evidence of time and the patterns of balcony. Besides, artist Khanh would like to expess that this city is beatiful not only because of its ancient but also its nature (with treelines of yealow leaves in autumn) and its idyllic things like street corners, schoolgirls on the way to school, treelines while changing season, etc.
This is statement of Artist Xuan Khanh Nguyen, Fine arts is the way connected to spiritual cosmos and realistic life. It always reflects the consiousness world of an artist on the surface of canvas via colors, shapes, lining figures, etc. My art is picking-up from the real life with far-away dreams of a pure universe embedded in everybody's memory... With main purpose of only using a few colors, minimum concised lay-out and characters in order to express the maximum expressiveness and create one new view about realistic world..
